Who is your favorite current Yankee player and why?

Moose...even though he's been a little shaky in past seasons, I like him because he's smart and is very cerebal about the game. He's better that what his numbers show. He's had other seasons (early on as a Yankee) were he got no run support and lost games 1-0, 2-1..etc. He always strikes me as the underdog because of the above and the poor guy has never gotten 20 wins in his career. Maybe this is his year...he's worked real hard to improve and adjust with time. I also like him cause he's not flashy...he seems like a private guy who just wants to play baseball.

And by the way...he does look good in those pants ;O)

Believe it or not I am a life long Red Sox fan and I have to say the Yankee I respect most is Derek Jeter. (as a Sox fan I cant say I have a favorite Yankee)

The man is a winner and a class act. He goes all out on every play.

I also like Mariano Rivera, only because the blown saves against the sox in 2004 ;)

My favorite current yankee player is anyone that strikes out with the bases loaded down by 2 in the ninth inning.

Even though i cant say I like the Yankees that much I would have to say Mariano Rivera. He is one of the most consistent closers of all time and still is lights out in that ninth inning.

Moose, he has disappointed me for the last 2 years. But now he has started to be sharp again and carrying the entier pitching staff, it is just extra bitter sweet.

Derek Jeter of course...actually i am wearing a pink Yankee's shirt with "JETER" on the back right now..

i'm not a yankees fan in the slightest. but i love derek jeter and johnny damon (though i'm pissed he left the sox) because they're so fine...not to mention the fact that they can play

my fav. yank player has to be DJ handsdown, he probably the most consistent guy on the team. he has one numerous championship, he probably is the only one that has proven to be worth the money.

Alex Rodriguez {Arod} because he is a great power hitter.
