  • Yankees games broadcast in Florida?

OMG! I'm missing the 1st 2 weeks of baseball...I'll be in South Florida during week 1 and Orlando during week 2. Are the games aired down there? I'm not going to subscribe to MLB.com. I'll be using channels provided in a resort/hotel. Thanks.

  • Winter birthday party ideas for a 5 year old other than Chuck E. Cheese?

I'm looking for something that would have the kids interact with one another rather then them going off in their own directions. It also needs to be suitable for both boys and girls. I also cannot have it in my home..house is too small to accomodate more than a few children.

  • Birthday party (winter) for 5 year old other than Chuck E. Cheese in suffolk county,LI?

I'm looking for something suitable for both boys and girls that will keep them together as a group as opposed to something like Chuck E. Cheese where the kids go off in their own directions.

  • Speaking of dogs...I walk with my 4 year old in her stroller and..?

have encountered many dogs off their leashes either running towards the stroller, trying to jump in,just sniffing around and barking. How to handle this? I know to try to remain calm and firm but when they come so fast,my 1st reaction is to sheild my daughter with my body. I now carry a stick but am afraid that if I strike a dog (must be a threat to do that) that it will anger them to attack further. Should I get pepper spray? Will that have the same effect? Where do I get pepper spray? We've had some scary incidences and have changed our pattern several times but it doesn't matter where we walk. I don't want to stop walking all together, just want to be prepared to defend us in the right manner.

  • Air conditioner problem?

My AC works fine during short trips. When on for more than an hour, the air temp gradually gets warmer until it only blows circulated air. When shut off for 15 min and put back on,it works fine and the same cycle repeats itself. The car is only 2 years old,15K mi. The dealer service dept says there's no problem with it. They changed the freeon just to apease us when we insisted a problem does exist. The air is clearly warm after periods of time. There is no leak.

  • Kids with nut allergies, has yours ever gotten a reaction from..?

foods that list "this product was processed in a plant that also handles...." or "manufactured on shared equipment that also processes..."? My daughter has a nut allergy and I avoid these products when I am aware of the processing. I'm sure she's had stuff like this (w/o incident) for instance, certain cake mixes are made in plants that handle pecans (daughter is severely allergic). I was wondering if the lables are for extra precaution or if reactions actually occur. And YES,I avoid them at all costs.

  • Nut allergy, which airline handles it best?

We just flew on JetBlue and they were great when handling my daughter's allergy. They were so knowledgeable and handled telling the passengers so smoothly. I have no other airline to compare to with this situation(when found out about it after the flight before last). I'm curious to hear about other airlines and how they deal with nut allergies.

  • Recordable DVD & Camcorder question about discs?

For Christmas I received a Sony DVD/VHS recorder. I've dubbed from VHS to DVD and recorded from TV onto DVD. I can play them back on the Sony but cannot play on another DVD player (also brand new) I also have a new Sony camcorder which records on mini discs. Those discs play on the Sony DVD player but not on any other one. Please give my possible reasons why this occurs! Thanks

  • EpiPen..info/not a question?

Please always make sure your EpiPens are current. Heard a story today from hospital worker who saw a little boy come in with reaction to milk(allergy). His mom administered EpiPen. It was expired, the Epinephrine had gone bad and the little boy died. Sad. The mom must really carry around so much guilt.

    Thanks all.

  • EpiPen Jr.?

My child has a severe food allergy and can die if exposed. We carry an autoinjector at all times for her. I would imagine that this would raise concern and it's not something that I can use before boarding (once used it is useless and also dangerous if used when not needed). When I booked airtravel,I asked the rep about this and she was like "yeah,no problem" I hope I won't have a problem when it's too late. Anyone have experience with this.

Can I also bring prescription meds in pill form?

  • Jim Kaat calling it quits?

I am so disappointed that Jim Kaat will no longer be broadcasting for the YES network. I thought his analysis of the game was intelligent and right on the money. Is he retiring or moving on to another network?

  • Looking for an old friend either living in KS or MO?

since she has a common name, don't want to pay people search services. She grew up in Joplin,MO maiden name Karen Davis. Lived in NY for awhile (knew her then) went home/KS married. Either goes by last name Campbell or Wilson. Has 2 daughters (last I heard) Heather and Ashley. Last correspondence from Baxter Springs,KS. It may be a shot in the dark but I figured I'd ask all of the smart people of Yahoo answers! Thanks.

  • Network or radio missing the first pitch?

Anyone out there watch or listen to games where the 1st pitch is often missed because a commercial was playing?? This happens quite a bit and sometimes that 1st pitch is significant. It can either be a hit, HR or an out coming back from a pitching change.
