Jim Kaat calling it quits?

I am so disappointed that Jim Kaat will no longer be broadcasting for the YES network. I thought his analysis of the game was intelligent and right on the money. Is he retiring or moving on to another network?

He is actually retiring. He has been playing MLB or announcing MLB games since the late 1950's. I am sure he just wants to quit traveling all of the time. He was an intelligent announcer and will be missed, but it is a natural progression. I am sure YES will be able to find a good replacement.

I agree with you. Not sure about where he may be going. Any word on who will replace him?
