Is 'future' a fake concept that we,human beings, have created to ignore/escape 'today'?

Yes. There is present (now) and absent (other). The past is only memories, the future only imagination.

What happens now is all that really exists, though we can carry bits of the past or future into our present by focusing our attention on them.

Some people take that a step further, focusing only on the future, living only in their dreams, as a way to ignore the past and the present. But that is ultimately self-defeating since any future that we choose to create must be created starting in the present. And until you can be fully aware of your present, you aren't able to start really living your life.

By the time the future happens, it is actually the present so the future can only ever exist as a concept.

wen the future arrives it is the present, as for today it will b the past tomorrow so why would we need to escape it? time is a load of crap if u ask me, its limitless and no one should put boundaries around it, it is not meant to b contained in a day, week, month etc

future is not a fake concept. it is a reality. to say it is unreal is to say that a 1 with a hundred zeroes after it is unreal too just so because we cannot count it.may you have a nice day ahead!

Future was actually coined in order to make man fear doing evil now or in present time..that way he would fear about the product or resulting treatment he would hav to face later in life or after death..

I don't know about the future. But the future tense in grammar is less tense than the other future
