MS FrontPage is a 'point & click' interface that allows people with no HTML experience to design simple web pages.

Rather than having to write the specific HTML code, FrontPage allows the user to drag & drop graphics, text, tables, etc to positions on the web page. It also allows you to link any item on the page to another page (or specific spot on that page). The benefits are that users with little or no HTML prgramming experience can begin designing simpler web sites almost immediately.

The drawbacks are that FrontPage follows a template architecture, which means that it will place the HTML code in the web page, even if it isn't the most efficient way to code the page. Also, it doesn't automatically create Java applets or such, which are used pretty frequently today in web pages.

FrontPage is a great tool for beginners, or for people who want to get the bulk HTML code for a website up and running, and then make manual changes themselves.

Frontpage is used to create websites. Instead of writing html tags it creates all by itself. No need to remember html tags
