93 Ford Areostar 4.0?

I want to get my vans A/C system converted from a R-12 to A R-134A system. About how much will this cost me to get this done. I'm a single mom and trying to work this in my budget. Thanks for helping.

You can find the information that you are looking for at this web site. Your car is valued at $3,500, the retrofit at the dealer will be around $520. You can beat this price with a little researching.

    Good Luck

The kit to do this changeover cost about $40.00. Freon runs about .75 per oz. If you have rear a/c it will take about 60 oz. of freon. If not only 38 oz. or so. I have no idea about labor prices, so I cannot help with that.

My best advice to you is to ditch the Ford and buy something else.
