Why do people report people to yahoo for the stupidist reasons?

They are probably former classroom monitors and now they are taking advantage of the fact they can tattle without getting beaten up after school. On a serious note, I think it is because a lot of these people do not understand the world of cyberspace. It is a world without fences or locked doors accessible by anyone having access to a computer. This means you will get people from all walks of life in here all with different agendas and viewpoints. Those who cannot accept this have no business being on the internet especially this site. Not everyone will tell you what you want to hear. Yahoo Answers is tame compared to Yahoo News. Look at the posts in there.

I have never reported anyone. Mainly because I gather from this site that it either doesn't work or that the team tasked with enforcing the guidelines doesn't really understand what they are enforcing. It also makes no sense to report someone and have their account suspended only to have them create a new account and do the same things again.

Yes, I do think some of the content is sick and off the wall and I certainly don't agree with everyone's point of view. I do however respect each person's right to free speech and to their own beliefs. I simply ignore contents that I disagree with and focus on what interests me or what I can help with. Why get worked up over a bunch of words that probably most of the authors would never say to someone face to face anyway??? Live and let live. To the people who have the "reporting jones", lighten up. Life is too short!!!!
