Why did the DOD re-release an already leaked tape of the flight hitting the Pentagon?

Why didn't they instead release the high-speed and high-resolution tape of the incident from the highway camera from the Virgina DoT instead?

Or, for that matter, any of the other 2 tapes of the incident that clearly should show something or at least provide a basis for comparison/triangulation?

Why is our media so satisfied with this?

Wars going bad for them and they are losing support. Even from those who were all gung ho just last year. The public is saying 'it's a mess and we need to take care of ourselves first.' And 'this is another vietnam.' years and years if gurilla insurgents that continue to recruit with no end in sight.

They release the tape to remind us all why we're there. And maintain support for the war. A guy from saudi arabia, based in the sudan, is supposedly behind an attack and was maybe hiding in Afgahnistan so it's obvious that we need to free Iraq.

They didn't release the other two because we've still got years to go. Thier saving those for four more years till you need another reminder.

The medias been shut out of the loop unless they support the administration and have given up trying to get anything from them. The media who supports him is fine with using journalism to promote the national interest.

This is their first official release of the tape. The public interest group called Judicial Watch only wanted that tape and since the government doesn't really want to release they only will if asked, and the other two have never been asked for forcefully enough.

Haven't they milked this thing enough already? The Pentascam is the biggest money-pit we have anymore.

This country's been 400 billion over-budget for the last 5 years running. Impeach Bush and Cheney, and throw out Congress at large. We need lasting fiscal reforms, starting with 'no deficit spending'. Period.

This is the first time I've seen any shots of a supposed plane (I didn't have cable before) and I still don't see a plane.
