It is very difficult to get an answer to any question asking "Why do people do what they do?" I am sure if there "truly" was an answer to this the answer could then be used to cause less crime and hate and thus solve our prison overpopulation issue.

I believe that there are a couple of reasons that non-believers go on the site of believers (Christian, Sports Team, Band, etc). And since each person is motivated by something else there will not just be one answer for all.

* For the simple reason of enjoying a debate

* They want to express their opinion and possibly open the mind of others to their beliefs

* They want to change over the person to see their views

* They may come across as "mean" but in actuality be looking to help find deeper meaning within themselves

* They are mean spirited and do it to get "a rise" out of others and quite simply to get a reaction

Not all of us non Christians bash Christians, only the "Christians" that call themselves Christians because they think it is the right thing to do. Being a Christian to many Christians is going to church on Sunday, and that is it. On Friday and Saturday they are out on the town committing adultery, fighting, drinking and being belligerent. If they were true Christians, they wouldn't be doing these things, they would make their "religion" a constant study. I am a non Christian and I never bash a true Christian. If you are a Christian, be one, not a partial Christian. I am very spiritual and love life and would never act the way I see some Christians.

Who needs a reason? I'd be pretty dull with only Christians to talk to. Well, maybe not dull, just not as interesting. Some athiests are pretty opinionated. It's a good testing ground for everyone on both sides. Bring it on, I say! I love a good arguement! (Or at least thinking up a witty rejoinder that makes me look good)

The reason is contempt for the power held by christians which does affect us normal people in everyday life.

Wealthy and powerful politicians who have carved out a 'way' that has no logical reason but for many years of sheep-like following.

Once these people are removed from power - the religions of the world will simply fade away and with it, the world shall be free of these diseases.

Awfully arrogant statement there. I hope it was merely a case of miswording, because it sounds like you just said that only Christians are interested in spirituality and religion.

I am glad they do come here because I know that when you hear Gods Word you will be changed even if you don't understand or agree with it.It is a opportunity to tell Gods TRUTH.You shall hear the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Probably for the same reason that some Christians come onto the religion board to bash people of other religions.

It's an ego thing for some people.

Maybe non Christians come here because they are curious, but it isn't a Christian catagory but "religion & spirituality".Maybe they are searching for the truth.I think this catagory is good for Christians to learn and to (hopefully)answer some of the critic's.Maybe it's a good oportunity for Christians the pray for these unsaved people.

I am a Christian. The Bible says that we should always be ready to give an answer to those who go against our faith. We will always have skeptics and unbelievers. In faith we need to correct and guide to Jesus.
