The US Senate just voted to endorse English as the 'National Language', what do you all think ?
If one should go through the World Almanac and Book of Facts, in the 'Nations of the World' section, one would find that all nations have at least one official language or more, while the US has no official language at all. I think it's about time the US law makers make the English language official.

I think the purpose of an official language is that the laws must be written in that language. Using Spanish for an example, sometimes it is impossible to translate something into Spanish and give it the EXACT same meaning as the English. This is saying that if there is question about what a law means, we go by the English version. But I also think we should recognise Spanish as a secondary language and make things bilingual, like English and French in Canada. That way, by the next generation we will all know both languages.

A wiser America would make Chinese the new National language.
Since China's the new power that will be dominating the world.
For a long time to come.
