hey there,
I work at Great Clips and the product you are looking for is called Biolage. Its really good for your hair. You only use a little bit of it, so it will last you a good while. You can find this in hair salons like Great clips. You don't wanna buy them in a grocery store because those are fakes. If you want shine, make the last rinse after you shampoo in the shower with cold water. this closes the pores on your scalp and helps shine your hair. If you want a product that helps hair shine look for Sleek Look, also found in great clips. its an orange bottle, very small and only use a dab. For volume, throw your head forward and blow dry it like that. From inside out. (i work at the salon so i pick up tips that i know (:)
hope everything works out!

I use the Herbal Essences and Fruit Fusions range for mine.
For volume flip your head forward (so your looking at the floor) and blow dry like that. Then to finish off stand up straight and dry your hair with the front pulled forwards over your face so you cant see anything (yes like Cousin IT from the Adams Family!) and then once finished drying just flip it back over and brush through. Instant free volume! lol
There are other products that I use but as I'm in the UK I'm not sure you have them available to you too.

Go to a salon. Pantene makes an ok product but the best thing for your hair is professional products. I love paul mitchell. Another thing that will refresh your hair is getting regular trims. (like 1/8-1/4 inch every month) it will make you happy trust me. If your hair is oily most products that will make it SHINE will also make it oily so talk to them about that. I strongly recommend you try products by paul mitchell or revlon though. And good luck!

Herbal Essences, Garnier Fructis' Shine N Slick, & Sheer Blonde.
You can find them pretty much anywhere, Target, Wal-Mart, your local supermarket and/or beauty supply store.
