Tax payers of India please wake up. Why super rich politicians are not paying income taxes in India?
You, me, our parents have been (and being) looted for 60+ years by Indian Politicians by not Taxing rich politicians who either are either rich landlords or they disguide as a farmer. Can we wake up now?
The only reason is they can convert huge balck money amassed , by disguising this as agricultural income which is non-taxable in India. They buy barren land or farm houses to convert all this black money.
Why can't we tax this super rich people?
Mind you I am not talking about small and medium farmers. But why can't you tax person with more than Rs. 50 Lakhs (US$100000+) per annum?
Let small and medium farmers stop commiting suicide as they will have good money in their hand in case more money comes to govt. of India
I would like to raise this awareness, you all honest tax payers.

brilliant thought shri...
but the basic point remains and which is shameful is that we ourselves have elected these politicians to power.
and as far as taxing them is concerned the solution is setting up a committee and exposing them, rather than bringing the poor farmers in between who are always at the suffering end.
spreading awareness on this issue is important via any media possible.. but yes on a large scale is a must. or even this issue will be suppressed like the countless other crimes that our corrupt politicians are committing..

Taxing farmers is such a dicey issue, with a major chunk of your population involved into farming. For politicians it would be like committing political suicide, trying to bring in regulation to tax farmers.
You gotta thank Jawaharlal Nehru, Ambedkar,Mandal and their ilk, as also most political parties in India that are more concerned about appeasement of different sections of the populace which forms a major chunk of the vote banks, ability and capability don't much count, if you happen to belong what was once considered as the majority, but with all the policies of the government have turned into a minority.
Anyway, Manmohan and Chidambaram seem to have taken a first initiative by starting a dialogue on this at least.
