if i was only a couple weeks pregnant and I was misscarring how long do most women bleed for?
found out i am pregnant again just after recent miscarriage and i was told from dr that either i have tubal pregnancy, or I am miscarrying again because I have been bleeding since the 14th and it is now the 21st. But he said I am definelty pregnant but just doesn't know whats going on. I would only be a couple weeks and I think I am misscarrying other wise it wouldn't make any sense why I am bleeding. Its not really heavy only sometimes. My question is...... If I am misscarrying how long do most women bleed for. My last miscarrage was a month ago hcg went to 0 last time and when I bleed last time it was like normal period this time it isn't.

First off, I agree with the previous poster and find another Dr. I have never had a Dr be so nonchalant about you bleeding. Miscarriages are serious business and so are tubal pregnancies. If it's a miscarriage they need to find out if you've expelled all the tissue...if it's a tubal, they usually operate right away in order to save the tube and future pregnancies.
Now, it's possible that you are not miscarrying, nor having a tubal and still bleed and be pregnant. You need to go to the Dr and have them run a Beta screen run in order to verify that you're HcG levels are doubling the way they are supposed to.
When I had my miscarriage I bleed for 2 weeks, and it wasn't anything like a normal period, but I was further along than you are now.
I would suggest that you go to the ER and find out what's going on in your body. Good luck.

This is a serious situation and I'm very surprised your dr is not more concerned. You need to find another dr who will get you tests to find out exactly what is wrong.
If you do have a tubal pregnancy and are hemorraging, that could be potentially life threatening. Also, if this is your second miscarriage in two months, it would seem to make sense that you would bleed more.
Again, I really think you should find another dr. Good luck.

I would see another doctor. Sometimes when a women has a miscarriage not all the stuff comes out and that is why they do a D&C. To clean your insides. That might be why your bleeding is because there is still stuff in there from the missage trying to get out. Also, that might be why it thinks you are pregnant and you really might not be. See another doctor on this.
Source(s): I know. I had a D&C done before and this is what the doctor told me. - 2 decades ago
I am sorry for your loss, but you may need to go to another doctor because if he's seeing you why can't he tell you what's going on in your body that is senseless to me. You're either having a misscarriage or not and usually if your just bleeding the doctor is suppose to perform a D&C and try to end the misscarriage. Just get a second opinion.
