There was a question posted about Muslim hitting wives...?

and every answer on there was in defense of the koran. Not one of the ignorant answers that Christian answers get. We can't get a straight answer without someone coming on here speaking badly about our religion, even if it's a real sincere question. If someone would have posted, "I heard that Jesus said you are to hit your wife 5 times a day" I can only imagine the responses it would have gotten.

The question is why can't non-believers be tolerant of the Christian faith, even when we are just asking simple questions that have nothing to do with trying to convert you. Why are so you scared of Jesus?

Again, I'm being serious and would appreciate serious, unhateful answers. I don't hate you!

Update:

Not sure why the muslims think I'm talking about them. Actually it is all positive about them. When the question was asked it was defended! I'm asking why Christians are not defended and why everyone seems to hate Jesus so much!

Well, most of the "questions" about Christianity on here are very preachy, haughty, long-winded and self-righteous. These qualities make for poor questions.

Most non-Christians are tolerant, if wary, of the Christian faith. The problem is that the ministering, evangelizing, preachy attititude is felt as confrontational and disrespectful.

Honestly, most Jews, Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists and others really don't care about Jesus being a savior, or any of the other stuff. They just want to practice there religion and be left alone to do so.

Contrary to what we are told by Christians, we don't believe we are going to burn in Hell, or somehow miss the boat of salvation. That is a Christian belief, not ours, and we don't need it.

Jews in particular have plenty to worry about from Christians, as millions were slaughtered in the name of Christ throughout the ages. We are a little sick of it, which is why we founded our own country in the 1948.

I completely agree. Everytime there is a question on here regarding Islam, someone posts false "verses" of the Quran on here or people post their ignorant ideas and generalizations of Islam on here. If someone was to post a derogatory statement about any other faith on here, he/she would probably be reported. And everytime we try to clarify someone's arrogant statement, some people don't believe us and call it baloney and call us terrorists. Then they blame us and tell us we're generalizing and most Christians don't think this..and blah blah blah. Where are the people who usually degrade our religion then?? Why don't talk then?? Because they know they are wrong. I really wish people would stop posting false ideas about Islam on here and stop degrading it. Or any religion for that matter. Ignorance is not bliss, but an excuse to mask your arrogance.

Source(s): FYI...Muslim men do not hit their wives. That's called domestic ABUSE..i believe that happens is this country which is predominately Christian.

In early church history, Christians started out as a perscuted group. Since it became organized and mainstream, it has been used as a tool to control the masses and to subugate its followers, as is the case for most religions. Time and time again, those who think differently than church doctrine or who have tried to look for truth have become the persecuted. Look at Gallileo and Newton for just a couple examples.

In recent history, the Christian leadership in this country have not shown tolerance or respect for non-believers and have sought to undermine the influence of the secular in our legal and political system. This is absolutely contrary to our constitution. Also, many people who disagree with this agenda do so because they think Christians are hypocrites and that their leaders are again trying to subjugate the rest of us into following their way of thinking, which in the case of the religious right is absolutely contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Look at Pat Robertson calling for the assasination of Cesar Chavez. And Bush looking to go to war with Iraq when diplomacy had not run its course. The UN and the whole world was on our side, until Bush's administration decided not to allow UN weapons inspectors to finish their job and to start a war based on faulty intelligence. Who Would Jesus Bomb?

Fundamentalist Christians are also some of the most hateful people I have ever had the pleasure of disagreeing with. Who actually believes "God Hates F@gs"? First of all, let those with out sin cast the first stone. Second, what you do to the least..., you do unto to God. They forget their own dogma when it serves their purpose, and people do not trust that! Rational minded people (Christians included) think that the fundamentalist whack jobs out there are ruining the name of Christianity and turning people away from Jesus on a daily basis.

So, I am not afraid of Jesus, he taught some awesome lessons. I am afraid of the people in power who claim moral superiority only to discard their core beliefs when it serves their selfish purpose, and the people who are so brainwashed that they can't think critically about this hypocrisy and continue to support them. I am also scared of people who try to change this great country and the constitution to take away my freedom to live free from religious persecution.

    God bless the world.

this depends on cultures , I am a muslim I am married and I never had hit my wife even my father I don't remember once has hit my mom , all the people I know no one has leaked a news that someone we know has ever hit his wife.

You may find wife-hitting also in the States and Europe, once I have watched a program by OPRAH WINFERY about husbands in the States hitting their wives causing them bruises and damages in the face and body.

So it is not an issue related to Islam, on the contrary Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said that "Your best are the best to their wives"

non believers are not scared of jesus, we know he doesn't exist and is no threat

we are scared of the followers of the myth of jesus because you have a history of wreaking brutality and turmoil on the planet

oh and you need to look up the word "tolerant" it doesnt mean i cant disagree with you, it doesnt even mean i can't make fun of or ridicule you

to be tolerant means that i let you have your opinion and i dont try to jail you for it or kill you over it

    Hiya, :)

Please don't generalize. Not all Muslims are bad.

Im Muslim and I for one Love Christianity and the Christian faith.

    I also love Jesus. :)

I believe in the Torah, Bible and Koran. :)

May God and Jesus Bless You!

    curious, great answer.

Muslims have to put up with the same stuff that Christians have to put up with on here.

I agree with you. Instead of trying to answer the questions, they dodge them and attack the person asking the questions. I think deep down inside of them, they are longing for God and that is their way of suppressing that.

Firstly it is not you or I who converts the people rather it is Allaah. Allaah says in the Qur'an by Him many he misleads and many he guides to Islaamic Monotheism. So in a since there are people created to burn in the fire as well as people created to reside in paradise (heaven). We are not afraid of Isa (Jesus alayhis salaam) rather we love him , and we respect him as a Prophet of Allaah and not as God. We follow him by not putting words in his mouth that he himself hasn't claimed.

With reguards to indefense of Allaah and Muhammad (may Allaah raise he ranks and grant him peace) and Islaam, Allaah says in His final revelation, the Qur'an: Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)." [Qur'an, 2:136]

So of course we will keep on defending the truth from falsehood and those individuals who try to defame Al-Islaam. Keep in mind the whenever Allah sent a Prophet to the people of that time they must obey that Prophet. For obeying the Prophets is obeying Allaah, so we understand this rather it is the non-believers who's having a problem with understanding. May Allaah keep us (the Muslims) firm upon this deen and may Allaah guide you to Islaam. Aamen, Aamen, Aamen.

Please excuse me if I sounded harsh as that is not my intent. I understand your views but please try and understand ours. We do not hate the non-Muslims and want to kill them. This is a what I see daily on Yahoo Answers among other lies and none of it is true and most of it is based upon falsehood, and ignorance.

True Muslims don't follow their desires rather we follow the Sunnah (way) and that is the religion of the Prophets all of them following One God (Allaah). Take Care!

Source(s): The Prophet Muhammad (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: "There was not from amongst the Prophets a Prophet, except that he was given signs - the like of which caused the people to believe. And verily I was given the Revelation, revealed by Allah to me. So I hope to have the most followers on the Day of Resurrection."
