Do Yahoo accounts get deactivated when not in use?

I forgot the password and lost access to my account ( No I cant get a new one). Do Yahoo eventually deactivate it, so I can make a new account using the same nick? If so.. how long does it take before they do that?

Update:

Well I don't have the right info to restore it.. I need to make a new account when that nick is free to use again.....and I wonder if that will happen.....and how long it takes before I can do that

No, Yahoo does not deactivate accounts.

I have an old Yahoo address I quit using due to spam. I still use it for sites that I don't trust that require an email to sign up for. I only check it to respond to registration activation emails, basically I only check it when I'm expecting an email. I know I've gone several months without checking it and Yahoo has never deactivated it.

I also set my mom up for a Yahoo account for email and IM 5 years ago. She never used it, and it's still there. If you want the same Yahoo ID, you'll need to find a way to recover the password, or contact Yahoo somehow and have it deleted.
