So, by the rules of the Christian Bible, Torquemada is in Heaven while Ghandi is in Hell?
If you don't know who Torquemada was, look it up.

Gandhi did not cared for heaven or hell. He expected to get Moksha.
Let us hope he got it.
If Torquemada is in heaven then probably it is not a place worth going anyway.

It's so lame how Christians just use "God works in mysterious ways" or "we're not the ones to know that" or "God is the only judge" and stuff like that as arguments against such statements. Seriously ridiculous. If torquemada ANY psychopath mass murderer feels sorry about what they did and turns to Jesus they're going to heaven. Ridiculous.

I couldn't tell you who is in Heaven and who isn't. But the Bible does make it pretty clear the path to Heaven- and that's having faith in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour. If Torquemada truly had that faith in Jesus- then yes he is in Heaven- and if Ghandi didn't then no, he is not.
The Bible makes it clear over and over again that it is not through works that one can have eternal life- it's through belief in Jesus Christ having died and risen from the cross.

Jesus said that the only way you could judge someone is by their "fruit" christianity has some rotten fruits and i dont mean just a few here and there A religious(christian) man goes to church, and sits impatiently and day dreaming of fishing. A spiritual man goes fishing, and day dreams of God. Religion runs on guilt,fear,sin and is mind driven. Spiritualism
runs on truth, peace, and joy, and is Heart driven.
Spiritualism is a life style religion is a learned
from a book and folk lore you're born spiritual!!!!

The thing about Christianity is - you never know for certain who is going to heaven and who is going to hell. Jesus said that the only way you could judge someone is by their "fruit" - that is - the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, kindness, patience, peace, gentleness, and self-control etc.
If someone is not exhibiting these sweet fruits in their life, you have to question if they truly follow Jesus.
Jesus said someone can claim to be a Christian but actually not be one. Jesus warned against false teachers and false prophets. People who love to boast about how Christian they are but then they ignore their neighbors when they are suffering. Such a person is not acting in accordance with Jesus's teachings.
Here are some of the things Ghandi had to say about Christianity:
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. "
"I consider western Christianity in its practical working a negation of Christ’s Christianity. "
"It is my firm opinion that Europe does not represent the spirit of God or Christianity but the spirit of Satan. And Satan’s successes are the greatest when he appears with the name of God on his lips."

The answer to your question is yes. Christians of course will dance around this issue. There is countless examples of this by Christian Theologians for centuries.
Rev William Hull
"The six million Jewish victims of the Nazis were doomed to perish in hell, and would not enter paradise, because they had not accepted the belief in Christ. Moreover, he said, Eichmann’s sins were not as great as those of the average man who denied Jesus as the redeemer."

NO! there are no 'rules' in "Christ".
("in him there is no sin"... "no law")
When no law, no sin imputed: Rom 5:13,
and thereby no death either: 1Cor 15:56.
The Holy Bible concludes with "grace",
so "none perish" rather than all perish;
and only by willing ignorance all perish.
"There is no respect of persons with God",
nor any respect of persons with Son of God.
Matthew 22:16;
Acts 10:34;
Acts 17:30;
Romans 2:11;
Ephesians 6:9;
Colossians 3:25
1Timothy 2:4
1Timothy 5:21
James 2:1,9
James 3:17
1Peter 1:17
It's "ALL" either way of such law vs grace:
Law: "as in Adam(them: Gen 5) ALL die"
Grace: "even so shall ALL be made alive in Christ"
Which is notably as if extinction vs salvation of ALL.
Which (law/grace)things "allegory" in both "covenants".
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory.htm
The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
Source(s): Holy Bible: isn't law law in "the end" is already written, in a book that doesn't think for you, but makes you think. When ended properly, as written, law: sin & death "vanish". Then none perish instead of all perish by willing ignorance. - 2 decades ago
God is the only one who can say if someone goes to heaven or hell. God looks at the hart while man looks at the outward appearance.
