I think some nice breezy, white curtains, wicker furniture, a nice outdoor rug (or you could paint one on the floor) of some sort, and some potted tropical plants and some nice potted flowers. Add a few interesting things on the walls and you will have a nice, inviting porch.

Gee, it would help if I knew what climate you lived in and you'd described the porch a little better. I'll do my best. Put potted plants such as Impatients (cooler climates) or Perrywinkle (Vinca) (hotter climates) going up one side edge of steps leaving safe walking area. They are very colorful and easy to care for. Hang wind chimes & twirlies if you can. 2 chairs or bench or swing. A rocker is kuul. Hang one string of white (or your favorite color) tiny Christmas lights for atmosphere. They look really good on a Ficus Tree if you have one or use your imagination. Get a flirty summer patern rug. A hummingbird feeder is nice or a little bird feeded. I could go on forever here. Try to modify your question and I will check back later.

Source(s): A very nice huge wrap-around porch that I am always changing and playing around with.

I have a small front porch as well. I put a small bistro set with two chairs and a table. Also, have some plants and candles. Try stringing up the new summer themed "christmas" lights to add some pizzaz.

I would suggest a big pretty wreath for your door, and also you could think about extending your porch, set up a sitting area to one side of the porch, have pots of flowers down your steps. Above all things be creative, keep things in proportion to your home and stay true to your own style.
