You may have an impacted wisdom tooth. If you're in your late teens, I'm guessing that's what it is...
You're going to have to see your dentist. The only way he'll be able to tell what the problem is is by taking some xrays and checking things out. In the meantime, take what you would take for a headache (ibuprofen, tylenol, etc). You can do ice, that may help. But, you really need to have it looked at.

I am a dentist.
One of the most common misconceptions is that antibiotics help with dental pain. The truth is that more often they do not help at all. Only when pain is caused by an infection of an already-dead tooth would antibiotics help, and even then the effects are at times limited. We prescribe antibiotics for patients who complain of tooth pain because we know that more severe infections can be just a day or two away. We prescribe pain medications for pain. Makes sense, doesn't it! Since antibiotics have not helped your symptoms, it is likely that the nerves inside your tooth are alived and severely and irreversibly inflamed.
For your situation, you are truly out of luck. Your dentist (or any dentist for that matter) would be unwilling (and SHOULD be unwilling) to keep you on pain meds and antibiotics for more than a week to 10 days. If your dentist is unable (or unwilling) to see you until July, you should find another dentist who can alleviate your pain.
A toothache, obviously, can be cured by removal of the tooth (assuming that your pain is indeed dental in nature and not due to some other form of pathology). A root canal is often a very successful way to alleviate dental pain. Any dentist should be able to open the tooth, access the canals, and remove the pulp. You'd be amazed at the extent of relief to be had from this procedure. I've had many patients in tears leave my office with a smile on their face, forever thankful.
Find another dentist, or let your dentist know that you are in severe pain and plan on seeing another dentist if he/she cannot fit you in. If your dentist values you as a patient, he/she will make time for you.
As far as medications go, provided you do not have any liver, kidney, GI, or bleeding problems, you can take up to 4000mg of acetaminophen and 3200mg of iburpophen in a 24 hour period. Those are the absolute maximum doses per 24 hours for these medications. As far as ibuprophen is concerned, I generally tell patients not to take it more than five days consecutively because it has some additive effects on the body (it can promote ulcers and decrease platelet function...albeit not as bad as aspirin).

Either the tooth has to come out or have a root canal... the problem is that if your tooth is infected and sounds like it's a good posibility... you are in danger of worse problems than pain... you teeth are very close to your brain and infection can spread to many places... including your heart. My advice is to take care of it soon, don't wait till July. I'm not a doctor or dentist... but have had similar problems.

No it will not go away, a tooth can NOT heal itself as other parts of your body can, it must be repaired by a professional, For goodness sake just go to the dentist.
Remember pain is only warning that there is problem in that area of the body. Getting rid of the pain is only turning off the alarm, the problem is still there.

It will never go away unless you see your dentist!!
It sounds like you have an infection in your root. If not taken care of you'll lose your tooth and have to have a root canal!!

It's not going to go away until you get something done to it. I had to have one pulled, but after it got infected, which is what it sounds like yours is. It can kill you if the infection spreads into your blood stream. At all costs, go to the dentist tomorrow. I sympathise with you....I have had bad teeth all my life.

If you are in that much pain and you're dentist won't schedule you in 'til July, then you need a new dentist, because this one's clearly not doing his job.

I'd call your dentist back and tell them how painful it is, maybe they can get you in quicker if someone cancels an appointment

It is most likely a cavity, you should see a dentist soon. Try to find another local dentist.
