How can i deal with the bad religiou leaders?

This question is for the follower of every religion. I think many religious leaders misguide persons like me, who have little knowledge about their religion and use them to get some benefits. How can a person like me can find truth when arguing with them?

    The most important thing is develop your own beliefs. If you believe in something; study it so that you have a foundation to what you understand, that will leave you less open to manipulation. Most religions are about self improvement not social, so in developing religious beliefs you should be improving yourself which means some study. Most manipulators rely on peoples ignorance not their own knowledge of the truth.

    While fellowship is important in sharing and asserting what you believe it isn't where you should get your ideas. Study what you believe and think deeply about it.

    Never be afraid to question yourself or your beliefs because it leads to understanding.

    First of all there should not be any arguing. When I talk to my Bishop he gives me advice and resources. He encourages me to pray about things and read etc. But he does not argue or force me to do anything. I have been away from church for about a month and when he sees me it's as if he just saw me last week. Leaders of any church should be there to lead and guide you and answer your questions to the best of their ability. Maybe you should look else where and think/ponder/pray about things. Keep an open mind. It's hard to find the truth in an arguement. Good luck and I do mean that.

    Source(s): plenty of experience myself. Also check out www.lds.org I belong to that church. Check it out a lot of good info. that might help. no pressure.

    The Truth is found in Jesus Christ. Truth is truth whether it is believed or not. The Truth is found in the Word of God. That is our Sword of the Spirit and that is the what we use in our warfare.

    Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

    Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

    Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

    Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

    Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    You are right.

    There is a lot of conniving going on out there.

    A bad doctor doen't make health care wrong.

    A bad dentist doesn't make dentistry wrong.

    A bad minister doesn't make religion wrong.

    Someone who mis-represents the Bible doesn't make the Bible wrong.

    Read and study the Bible and you will be equipped to fend off these hypocrites.

    Get a modern English translation and start at Matthew.

    Take notes.

    Most bad religious leaders will not listen to reason. It's fruitless to argue with them. They're master manipulators. It's best to leave them to their own devices, and not get tangled up in their web.

    Ignore them. You really cant do much. They are expert manipulaters. even if you study religion well, there is always chance of different interpretations of the same thing.

    Best will be to seek information independently and follow your own heart.
