Peach and lilac are truly classy from spring until September and compliment either an Ivory or white gown.
For a December or February wedding I like pink and burgundy velvet.
I usually avoid pink and blue but helped a friend with a wedding where each attendant wore a different pastel dress and it was lovely with the groomsman shirt matching the gowns.
You have to be really careful when you use purple, pink or green. Also remember if the dresses are dark they may appear black in the pictures.
A black and white wedding is really classy when used with silver accents.

What's your favorite color? Or if that fails what's the fiance's fave color? Now work from there. It's your wedding what ever color you choose will be the best choice.
Now it also depends on what time of the yr your wedding is, because you don't want a peach color wedding in the middle of December.
My wedding color was burgundy, my cousin's was a baby blue, and my sister's was a lilac color. We all choose our fave colors and all three weddings came out perfect.
Here are two sites that can help with color ideas.

Summer wedding, I'd go with peach and sage green. I had a Las Vegas wedding, then had a Las Vegas themed reception. My colors were red, black and white. I had jumbo dice for a wedding cake, it was so much fun! I even had gambling there, too. It's your wedding, choose what ever you want, break out of the norm and traditional. If you're going to spend $1000's on a wedding, at least give your guests a wedding they can remember years from now. Make it very memorable.

My wedding colors are Lilac and baby blue. Blue is kinda hard cuz they aren't very many blue flowers. Pink, red, or yellow are great colors for weddings though but the hard part is getting your man to wear a pink vest.lol

It probably won't be the answer you are looking for but when i got engaged i was racking my brain trying to pick colors and in the end i picked black and white. For my bridesmaids I figured what girl doesn't like to wear black and the flowers were white roses and white tulips. Each girl wore a two piece dress same full length skirt and their tops were made different, whatever style they wanted. It was actually less expensive to have the dresses made than to buy them off the rack. Same thing with my wedding dress. I felt black and white looked classy and refined. I guess i wasn't being risky but when i look at my wedding album i don't say why the hell did i pick that color? For me black and white are "colors" that never go out of style.

It depends a lot on you and what you like, along with where and when you’re having the wedding. For an indoor wedding, especially at night, I love cream and gold with lots of candlelight. I used blues and purples for my ocean theme. Deep, chocolate brown is very trendy and pretty with something like a pale pink, baby blue, or even a light, bright green. A mix of reds, oranges, and yellows is nice and allows for some beautiful bouquets, and it looks especially nice outside, contrasting with the greenery of a park or garden, for example. Pink and green look nice together, and even when used inside bring to mind the outdoors and fresh, springtime flowers. Good luck!

I am in the process of planning my own wedding, May of 2007. I chose the colors of Lilac and Banana Yellow. They look amazing together and are the perfect spring showers colors.

I'm using red white and black for my summer '08 wedding. i know it's not traditional summer colors, but a distant cousin had those colors years ago in her wedding and i fell in love. i've been told time and time again that the season doesn't matter.
