Some people do. But then there are a lot of idiots out there.
The concept of no sex before marriage is a puritan sexist ideal that is still peddled by some religions in order to control people.
If two consenting adults wish to have sex there is nothing at all wrong with it.
One of the many things that determine if a relationship will be successful is sexual compatibility. The concept of two virgins stumbling into a sexual relationship after marriage and hoping it all works out is irresponsible and short sighted. These people have often made a life long commitment to God about marriage and have never lived together or had sex! No wonder the divorce rate is at 50%.
The real reason this whole way of thinking came to be is that men who pretty much rule the world, decided they didn't like the idea of their woman being sexually experienced or confident in bed. They didn't really care if a woman enjoyed sex either. The advantage of sleeping with a virgin is that they don't know any better. So the whole concept was a male ego driven idea that was woven into various customs and religions as an instrument of control.
The bottom line is that sex is an enjoyable act of intimacy between two people. Provided all parties are responsible about their actions and precautions, there should not be a problem. If you take this irrational fear of sexuality to its ultimate level you end up with a society much like the Middle East with women covering their entire bodies, sexually repressed and frustrated youths blowing themselves up just to get to heaven and the virgins faster, arranged marriage, subjugation of women and a society where no one gives a crap about women's rights or pleasure.

Some ppl do. Mostly the christians, lol. My fiancee and I holding out for marriage. We both had sexual partners in the past, though. We feel this is getting us closer 2 one another, and obeying GOD`s law. We both want GOD to bless our relantionship. I am not saying him and I havent slipped a few times! But we try very hard, usually works.

In my 1st marriage, I abstained. It was my worst mistake. She couldn't do anything to satisfy me. Let me put it this way...would you buy a car before test driving it? I would only sleep with someone in a committed relationship only

No one buys a cat in the sack anymore. Sex is very important for marriage life. If you can't get along with him, it will be painful for the rest of your life. You might have to spend the rest of your time thinking about divorce. Let imagine, that he likes in some extent to do with you sexually what you dislike. If you get married, you can't run, sweetie.

That was my plans but, i wasn't strong enough to say no. It makes it more special if you do wait and give yourself to your husband/wife. Your virginity is the the most important thing that a woman has to give. Keep in sacred.
