What are some vegan/vegetarian proteins that don't include soy or broad beans?
I hate beans and soy, but would like to clean up my eating habits and get away from eating so much meat. Not sure if I want to give up meat entirely, but certainly make it much less often. Also, I'm just curious if you can BE vegan/vegetarian without soy or hard shell beans.
Tofu is soy, and chickpeas are even worse than broad beans (to me)
Nuts and nut butters I like though.
Soy crumbles taste and feel like eraser crumbs. I did try a spicy black bean burger that was pretty good.

You're going to have to try different beans and different ways to eat soy.
You can also eat nuts, or nut butters, like almonds or peanut butter. You can eat grains, such as quinoa. However, the easiest forms are beans - red, chickpeas, black, etc. Try soy burgers, or the veggie ground round soy in a spaghetti or a lasagna dish. Keep trying until you find ones you like.

If you're a female I don't suggest soy.
If you think you need soy, you need to get your hormones back on track, but not with soy.
Try yeast in your peanut butter. Almonds, Walnuts, Pistachios, Plain Yogurt, Raw Milk.
Coconut Milk, warm it up , add some nutmeg and cinnamon and it's great.

Have you tried tofu and wheat gluten. Those are good for protein. So are nuts and some cereals.
