Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

please note - not a question but a warning to users here?

I noted that on Saturday - May 27, 2006, someone said that their points had been hacked - well - I noticed this on Sunday, May 28th - so I don't know of any way of getting the points back, nor do I recall exactly how many I had - but just to let people know here what is going on - yahoo probably couldn't give two craps anyway even if I told them.

And who knows? Maybe even someone from yahoo may have hacked them - so don't be surprised if you wake up one day and all your points you accumulated are gone.

Some people know how to take the fun out of things and try to ruin a person's spirit.

I say to the hackers - screw them - morons and idiots - and they always will be.

I think it would have to be someone who works at Yahoo. Go ahead and get an additional name, then you can vote for your own best answers (it happens all the time here) and make up your points. That really stinks, the points are meaningless but that is violating.

I am NOT on here for points or playing a silly childish game, but for honest questions from people wanting real help. There are those of us on here who aren't playing a game. Who really are asking serious questions and also trying to honestly help with real answers. Not for some stupid game playing.

I dont know if anyone but yahoo could do this. I still think you should report it anyway, even if you dont get a response. If they are the ones that removed the points, surely they would know what they were and should re-instate them. Good luck.
