bring out a pen and a piace of paper: to visit in la:

-City Walk-where theres universal studios and all these awesome shops

-santa monica street and pier- go only on a friday or saturday to see all the cool street dancers and stuff..theres a guy there that blows square bubles with smoke inside, its pretty cool

-disneyland-in anaheim, worht it only if your taking little kids with ya

-magic mountain- big rides, big stuff, pretty distant from central la, simply take the 5 North all the way and exit on Magic Mountain Parkway - while your there, vist the beautiful town of valencia and their shoping mall. aside from magic mountain, theres hurrican harbor next door, but i dont know if they are open now, check. its a water park.

-venice beach-if you want to see the real citizens of los angeles, go there, try not to look like a tourist though, just trust me. you see the old hippies, the african americans with heavy pants, the mexicans, the cheasy hamburger spots, the tatoo areas everywhere and you get to see peopel in the street do shows and all that, its a safe area, jsut dont get overwhelmed when you get there.

-ofcourse, hollywood, but its nothing big, in fact, your probably going to say, what?? this is the famous 'hollywood???' its a simple street with nothing but toursit shops and thats it. recomended: see the chinesse theater where the footprints are, and the ripley's believe or not mueseum (i love it, its fun)

-downtown la, cool spot, visit the big buildings, check out the incredible walt diseny philarmonica theater, brand new, and famouse for its incredible abstract architecture, in teh eye center of downtown. also visit the outskirts ONLY during teh DAY, its NOT NOT safe during the night, especially for lost tourists. see the mexican/latin american shops aroudn there, its pretty cool. oh visit also Alvera Street, RECOMMENEDED, its a real historical spot in Los Angeles, in fact now that i think of it, its probably the only historical spot when it comes to 'history in la'.

-if you want to see the beaches, most of them are dirty and not very clean, the only pretty area where you can see million dollar homes and clean beaches is in the tiny little beach called, Manhattan Beach, tiny tiny little area in the middle of the south bay, but clean and nice. safe at night.

-santa barabara- about 2 hours away north from la, if you have time, recommended to go.

-long beach about 45 minutes from la down south, can go see the famous, Queen Mary, the boat that has never left the harbor in a long time, i dont the history of it, but i recommend ya to go, its cool.

-my last spot, i recommend ya to go at least ONCE for a lunch or dinner, is at Carney's Hamburgers and Hotdogs on Ventura Blvd. its close to hollywood, jut ask anyone aroudn they know it. its an old yellow train converted into a fast food spot, i loooovee the hamburgers there, they are sooo good and the price is adequate.

    ok hope this helps!

    have fun on your trip!

Being that I lived in Pasadena, I think it should be on any visitor's itinerary. There is the Huntington Library and gardens, the Arroyo, Old Towne, the Kidspace Museum, the Asia Pacific Museum, the architecture, the Gamble House as well as great shopping and eateries.

Los Angeles has so much to offer. There is no easy answer. If you like theme parks, try Magic Mountain or Disneyland. If you like beaches, try Venice Beach. Shopping? Nothing compares to Rodeo Drive although it is quite expensive. If you want to know more, please email me.

Grumman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood is the place where film stars cast their prints in concrete, if you like that sort of thing.
