How do you install a picture instead of your avatar?

To add an actual photo you need to first set up Yahoo! 360 account. Then upload a photo in JPeg format, and select it as your main photo. Then return to your Yahoo! Answers 'My Q&A' page, and select edit your profile.chose your Yahoo! 360! photo. Select, save, and your done

in the edit section of your Yahoo Answers profile, you will see that option to use the photo from your 360 account. If you don't have that accout yet - open it (it takes about 30 seconds - no biggy) Then you go and upload some pictures you like into that account. the avatars aren't any bigger than about 100x100 I just edited my images to be that size and that was it.

I played around with them and made different ones so if I want to change them I can.

Once you upload the images into your 360 account - which ever one you want to be the avatar here at Yahoo answers is the one you should pick as "primary"

That picture will automatically be the avatar here as long as you have your Yahoo answers account set to use your 360 picture.

I puzzled over this problem also, but I finally figured it out, and I'm still not exactly sure how I did it. All I can say is keep reading the instructions and you'll finally get it done. Good luck.

Next to the avatar option, choose the "Set up my 360 account", and you can load it from there.

You have to get a 360 they are free.Then you can put a custom avatar there.
