If the Democrats take both houses in the Nov. elections do you think they will try impeaching Bush?
I've heard this tossed around more and more often lately, what do you think? Will they try it? If they do will they succeed?
err... there is a whole lot of us Texans who don't want him back!

I think they have grounds, but it would be hard to push through. I'd like to see Bush and Cheney among others indicted as war criminals. Its ridiculous what's happening in our government right now. Who do you think will run in 2008? If its Hillary are you voting for her, I don't agree with all her policies, but I think she'd make a good president and I think its about time we get some Girl Power in the White house.

This mid-term election will likely have low turn out. Most people don't pay attention unless their is a president running for office. This election is likely going to be key in the party-line layout of the next presidential election. I don't expect the either party to win both houses this go-round but if the Dems could win both, the vehemence of the the past 5 1/2 years indicates they will definitely try to impeach Bush. Even without all this vehemence, the Dems would still try to knock the Reps by adding the Rep's president to the list of impeached presidents. They need to gain credibility because of the recent book published that counted the number of corrupt politicians in each major party and found the dems double the number of Reps corrupt members and incidents of corruption. The latest example is the senator from Louisiana. During the recovery and rescue of people after hurricane Katrina he commandeered two military vehicles and a squad of personnel to protect him while he went home to retrieve a "package" from his freezer. My guess is this is what launched the investigation of him which resulted in the latest scandal with him receiving a $100,000 payoff from an undercover agent and during a warranted search of his home they recovered $90,000 from (guess where?) his freezer.

I sincerely hope so. Otherwise Bush's time in office will be totally unchallenged despite his shameful conduct with regards foreign policy/taxation etc. He will go down in history as a success, having won and held a second term solely by nurturing and exploiting the fears of his people.
After Sept 11th he had carte blanche to genuinely try and make the world a better place; In pursuing his dark and greedy agenda he has failed miserably

I think they will too busy fending off al-Qaeda in the USA proper since the Democrats are one weakass excuse for a group of any kind. Maybe they will make Michael "Moron" Moore secretary of defense. I would love it because I am sure the military would stage a coup. What kind of sniveling liberals do you hang out with anyway?

I think that many of his and Cheney's dealings on the war will be investigated, Nancy Polosi (sp) said that on meet the press last Sunday. Of course if they find something credible I think they will send him back to Texas where he belongs. Sorry Texans.

That is a great question. To answer your question, I will say "yes" to impeachment and "no" to conviction.
My guess is the jackasses will pick up some seats in both houses, but the elephants will still maintain control in both.

i wish they would but i think it's unlikely that it will happen with the u.s. at war. they didn't impeach nixon until he had the troops withdrawn fron vietnam. i think they see it as bad for national security to show the world that the president is a criminal. ever wonder why he said ending the war would be a job for another president?

I'd hope so but you have to remember that both parties are funded by the same corporate entities so it'll only happen if it's beneficial to them.
Odds are though, there'll be another false-flag terrorist outrage to try and change opinion. (No doubt Osama'd put in another 'taped appearance')

They won't try.Even though everyone doesn't agree with the presidents actions he has not done anything to get impeached yet.
