I am interested in playing field hockey, is it a fun sport?

I hear it's rough...and trust me I'm not a rough person. Is it worth it?

    Field hockey is one of those sports that you'll enjoy more by playing, as opposed to watching it.

    I played it as a kid, it's fun because of its' technical rules, which helps to make it a level playing field between average and good players.

    And it's not so dangerous, the rules are made in such a way, that it protects/prevents players from violent or dangerous play.

    its very fun and it's actually not very rough i have played for 3 years now and i really like it
