Can anyone recommend a reliable all-in-one printer?

I currently have a Lexmark all-in-one and it's horrible! I bought it new 3 years ago and everytime it runs out of paper or ink, I have to uninstall & reinstall to get it working again! It has now stopped working after barely any use.

Don't listen to people telling you to go for Dell. Lexmark actually makes Dell Printers.

With an all in one it really depends upon what you value more. Canon has by far a better scanner than an HP, however the newer HP boast laser like quality on text print. The cartridges are both comparable to replace.

For slightly cheaper cartridges, with higher capacity and more multifunction, well functions take a look at Brother. They are usually a 4 or 5 in one macing complete with fax/phone/printer/scanner/copier. They won't so a great quality photo but they are a work horse.

That is the thing about printers, "How much are the replacement cartridges?" should be the first question before you buy anything. I have an HP 2170psc. It is on all the time. The cartridges can be bought at Costco Warehouse. I have heard that Lexmarks are good, because printers is all that they make. I can't vouch for their software though.

I have a lexmark also and it works fine...the only thing I suggest is that when you pick one out check out and see how much the replacement cartridges are. I payed 80.00 for my all in one and the ink costs 65.00 to replace both of them. I can buy a new printer for that amount.

I always hear good things about Cannon and HP printers.

I just purchased a HP 3210, now mind you it doesn't have a fax but I didn't need one. The nice thing about this printer is that it also has a network connection that is a piece of cake to set up. You DO NOT NEED networking installed on your computers (if more than one) all you need is an available port on your router and ANY computer that accesses your router can connect to it. I have 2 laptops that access it and 2 desktops, the laptops are wireless and the 2 desktops are hardwired..works like a champ!!

I recently bought a brother 6 in one at walmart and really like it, it has 4 ink cartridges and ports for 4 or 5 cards to along with the usb hook up.it was $105 dollars and i think that is reasonable.
