How do I get rid of "firstadsolution" pop up on my PC?

This thing is driving me nuts! I have reloaded IE 6.0, downloaded spybot S&D, Startup Mechanic, etc. Nothing seems to get rid of this annoying advertisement software. Please Help!!

Go to Start Menu, click RUN.

    Type msconfig and hit enter.

You should see a pop up box.

Go to Startup tab and check to see if that pop up is in your startup. If it is, remove it.

    Also,

Click on start Menu, then click on RUN.

Type regedit and then hit enter.

This will bring up your registration keys.

You will need to find the directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then click on Software to see all the programs on your computer.

Delete the program firstadsolution if its in there.

    Restart computer.

You might see if it's in your 'start up' programs. Click on the 'start' button. Click on 'run'. In the 'Open' box type 'msnconfig' and then click 'Okay'. You will get 'System Configuration Utility'. Click on the tab all the way to the right that says 'Startup'. There will be a long list programs with a box on the left side. Check to see if any of the list says "firstadsolution" in the program line. Uncheck the box to the left of it. DO NOT uncheck anything else. Then, click 'Okay'. You'll have to restart your computer but this should get rid of your problem. If not, contact MSN.com or the person who sold you your computer.

It seems you've installed some freewares with spywares installed whithin it.

    Anyway.. here is the solution..

Go to Microsoft website and download "Windows Defender".

It is a free software. Microsoft developed it to scan your PC and clean it from such annoying adversiting popups.

Note: You must have an original copy of Windows in order to be able to download "Windows Defender".

    Cheers.
