can you see evidence that the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the earth?

We know that the Spirit resides in the beleivers. And Jesus says he will never leave us. But what about the rest of the people?

Update:

Tempers are rising along with gas prices. Gas stations across the country report that drivers are taking out their gas rage against big oil by yelling at clerks and cashiers and sometimes driving off without paying.

No, I don't see evidence that the Spirit is being withdrawn. God is still working, and will be giving everyone a chance until the time is up. The Scriptures say that everyone will have heard the word, and given a chance before the end is to come. He is working everywhere and in every place now. The darkness is here too, but we know who wins because we read the ending of the Book, Jesus prevails!

Going to church and being in the Scriptures is really important right now, as being in the world is overwhelming, the tv, magazines, everything is against what the Scriptures teach, so we need to be reminded about the Lord in the middle of the week, and on Sundays too.Hopes this helps alittle bit.....

We've known since the time of Jesus that there is a difference between the church of believers and the world. God's spirit is still there, as strong as ever. The promise and the understanding is that the Holy Spirit provides grace to the world all the way to the end of time. It's that first bit of grace that touches a human so they can know God.

I know, that sounded cheesy and more heartfelt than headthought. The book of Revelation tells a complex tale of how corrupt the world is and how the spirit of God is needed to fight injustice and greed. Revelation has been applied to every single century since the time of Jesus to today. Everyone thought it was the end because everyone in the church community can see the horror and corruption of our world. Still, the world continues. I take from this that Revelation shows us that for all of time there will be misery and hope, both in abudance. I have faith from this reading that the Holy Spirit is not withdrawing.

Not till the rapture. In my Christian circles the Spirit has really been moving through us to unbelievers."And when He has come he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment" Jo.16:8,9. The Spirit's work will continue until the "restrainer has been removed" Then the Anti-Christ will be revealed and things go real fast from there! I do however know what you mean when you look around today it seems so on the whole. The world is just growing so anti God so fast. We, I believe are in the last days.

It's the rest of the people responsiblity to accept Jesus in to his lives. Jesus loves everyone, but when you don't put him first in your life he is not going to put you before the people who puts them first. He knows every decisons that everyone is going to make before they do. Being that He knows that he puts people through test and points when they can and should turn to Him. If they choose to then he will show them the blessing that he have waiting for them, but until then he is just waiting. Don't forget that we have Satan there too, there to tempt us and to lead us down the wrong roads. Two forces that people have to choose. Sometimes it's a lot easier to choose the wrong one. Sometimes God answer may not seem what you want at the time so you choose to go the other route. When people realize this things, will be better. But it is even in the bible that everyone won't choose the right thing.

The spirit of GOD will never be withdrawn as a Creator never stop loving even if there is only one believer left on Earth.

Jesus will never "leave us nor forske us." God promised that, and everything else that God and Jesus promised came true- example: Jesus said that he would die and yet he would rise again after 3 days, He promised that the Holy Spirit would come down apon the apostles and it did. And God said that Jesus would come back some day, and I know that he will.

These two passages come to mind when I consider your question.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8

I nearly ignored your question but something made me come back and attempt an answer. The answer, of course, is 'no', the spirit of God is in you. When it appears to fade, it has faded in you. But you have to pray regularly and respect other people's faiths, even take the courage to explore them.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. It is going to get really bad and before too long.. We will all be praying come quickly Lord Jesus..
