Did God commit a sin or two?

For those of you who believe in God... didn't God break his own commandment when he killed all the people that didn't hop on the ark?

Update:

I guess the NASCAR chick, chica or whatever it is shouldn't choose education as a profession.

Update 2:

I appreciate all the constructive comments. As someone who has explored several religions and read different version of the Bible which are interpreted differently, it is good to see the different perspectives. Good food for thought.

well, maybe one could say that without thought...but prehaps a better view is not that HE killed them but rather didn't save them. I't may sound like the same thing but try it this way. If I told you to get out of the road, and you chose not to...when the car hits you, does that mean I killed you? Or perhaps its the cars fault? Or just maybe its your own fault?

Now I do seem to remember that there was this lifeboat...and all we've really been told is that Noah's family got on it with a bunch of animals.

I've never seen anywhere that it tells us whether or not he offered anyone a ride, or chased anyone away either...But from what i can tell it was a big boat. So he probably wasn't hiding out secretly building it in his garage. Just maybe people could have actually seen him building it for the last 100+ years or so...Add my guess is that his lifesyle was probably a good example that he just might have know what he was up to...just maybe...so just maybe people were to busy to care.

So Just maybe when God decided to take a break from holding weather paterns in check...maybe a lot of people decided not to get out of the way, until it was a little too late.

Yeah that flood thing is tossed aside by religious folk. Think about it. If the world is just as it is today, and some deity comes along and floods it. Even an aircraft carrier can't hold 1% of the worlds population!!! So 99.9% of all people would be killed. Imagine back then. With a small wooden boat... It's horrific!

Now lets look at Egypt. They apparently made god upset too. But what did god do? he killed innocent babies. God killed the first born babies of those he was mad at. What kind of god kills innocent cute babies?

God can not sin---it is man who sins. Sin is going against God's will, and God can not go against His own will. The people left with the flood were evil, they were a mix

race of humans and angels (most of them, but NOT all of them)....the angels went against God's commands NOT to be with human women and the race was corrupt at that point...VERY SINFUL! God saw only one man with out sin; NOAH....But God IS merciful. It probably took Noah and his son's a few years to build the ark...I am sure that at any moment if they would have repented of their sins that they would have been saved. If God would have allowed this world to remain; it would be 1,000 times worse than it is now....there will be another time when God will 'do away' of the sinful that refuse to repent. He is awesome! Read your Bible.

God cannot sin. He cannot stand to look upon sin. Out of love God saved a pair of every animal and some people. He didn't have to do that. He just wanted to give His creation another chance. The same as He does today.

No God cannot sin...people sin...Sin is against God.

Those people made a choice. They were offered to get on the ARK or change their wicked ways, but they laughed at Noah as they laugh at Christians warning them now.

Commandments were not made for God, they were made by God. Maybe you should try reading the bible first instead of asking ignorant questions.

No, I agree with nascar chica. She's smart and educated. Read the word more and don't add or take away from it.

And which commandment would that be? "Repent or perish"?

Or perhaps "The wages of sin is death"?

Mankind had freedom of choice, and chose to move away from God, which lead to their destruction. They had plenty of time to repent and change, and chose not to.

God could not sin because he doesn't exist. (and Noah's flood never happened)

It is technically impossible for God to "sin." "Sin" is disobeying God.

That's how Jesus claimed an exemption to all his sins.

But, it's all nonsense, so it really doesn't matter.

It is a fact that supernatural entities, including God, do not exist in fact.

So.....it's "Do as I say, not as I do", huh? Now, there's a role model.

Here's the thing. Someone please clarify this for me....

If God made us...and gave us free will...why would he kill his children because we chose to exercise that free will? It's like telling your kid they can go to bed whenever they want to, but if they stay up past 9:00 pm you'll drown them.

    I wish you Peace.
