Best tool to drill a 1 inch hole, 15 inches deep into concrete foundation?
Hi,
I need to drill a 1 inch hole, that is 15 inches deep into a concrete foundation. I have a 1/2 inch hammer drill, but the bits available are only 13 inches long. It does not sound fun. Does anyone have a better tool to use, or way to do it??
Thanks,

get your hands on a DeWalt DW475 rotary hammer. It carries SDS Max bits that can be as long as 3 ft. Its light enough not to tire you out but powerful enough to break your jaw! So make sure that you are holdong the auxiliary handle.

Drill lots of little holes until you can get your drill bit to the 15" depth, then make good with sand and cement, after you have fixed whatever it is you are trying to fix.
Best i can think of without telling you to hire an drill and bit of the correct size and diameter.
Hope that helps.
Good Luck.

You could try renting a core drill, or a pneumatic rock drill. I would do the core drill it a lot faster. The link below will show you a core drill and rock drills. Hope it helps.

use a hammer drill, rent dont buy, 15-25$ at most rental places, wear ear plugs, very very noisy, will damage hearing, ask the rental person how it works if you are not sure, mm
