Are green signal lights on my car illegal?

Question

On my car I am replacing the orange signal light lens on the side of my front bumper with clear ones, and putting in green led's for green blinkers.  Is this illegal?  Remember I'm not asking if you think it's gay or not, just if it's illegal.

Assuming you are in the USA, yes it is illegal. The Federal DOT has specific requirements for the color of lens' on vehicle lights. Why look for an excuse to get a ticket?

Yes this is severely illegal, in Australia anyway. Your car can be defected because of those lights, which means a pretty hefty fine. Any other lights other than the ones that are supplied are illegal.

believe it or not yes they are illegal you may see other people with them and they don't get stopped but there are so many things in the USA that are illegal that cops just don't have time to enforce them all and yes there gay and you must be gay good luck with your pretty green lights

In the United States each state law is different.  Check with an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.  Green lights are normally reserved for emergency vehicles and indicate a command vehicle.

I think you'll find it is illegal...you can have what ever colour lenses you want as long as the lights are orange.
