it is YOUR wedding! YOU are getting married and it is YOUR special day! it dosen't matter what they think because they have their own special day! you shouldn't have to ask permission for anything when it's your wedding. if you want to go in bubble wrap you should do it! if you like red wear it! do what you want, this whole wedding revolves around YOU and your man!

I would say that if you're OK with it, though non-traditional, than why not? It IS your day after all.
Another option for you is to wear a traditional white dress for the ceremony then change into your red wedding dress for a stunning entrance into the reception.
It'll certainly be memorable and you'll get what you want while making more traditional family members happy.
A win-win situation.

My wedding dress was red and white. There's nothing wrong w/ a wedding dress of color or just white. White is used a symbol of purity and of virginity. Either way if you are or aren't I don't see the problem w/ not wearing or wearing white. It's your big day, you make the decision and make sure it's what you want. You only have this special day once in a lifetime (hopefully) and it should be special. Good Luck, Congrats, God Bless you both!!

Hey, it's your wedding, you wear whatever you want. I've never seen anyone in a red wedding dress, but it is a color you can work with. Go for a deep jewel-tone red and you can use a lot of other colors to coordinate. If it's not a deep red, I wouldn't wear it but it's up to you. Good luck! Thanks for the points!

particular. It does count on the time of day nonetheless. If that's a sunlight hours wedding ceremony, you would be greater apt to positioned on a shorter costume in a greater muted coloration. If this is night, a protracted purple costume could be suited.

I'm all for wearing a wedding dress other than white. But I'm afraid red might be kinda of tacky. You'll probably regret it. I would go with classic white, ivory, cream, maybe even yellow. Not red, sorry.

why red? but anywho, you could do red and pink for a scheme. roses and hearts fit perfect. Kind of like a valentine wedding. choose the dress you feel comfotable in, (going to be a loooong day). thats the one to wear.

Why don't you try a white dress with red on it? I saw a dress in a magazine once that was pure white with little red roses embroidered along the hem of the skirt and train, the bust line (it was strapless), and down the back along the back seam...it was absolutely gorgeous!

If it is your wedding and your fiance likes red wear whatever the heck you want. Just think ahead to the future and think about if you would wish for something different.

You don't have to go with either "sexy," or "traditional." You can go with both. While the red may be "sexy," it's just not proper. I would definitly go with a white dress, but it can still look good. Maybe it can be strapless and paired with beautiful jewelry. That way it can be both!
