First, beat an egg into about a cup of milk. In a second bowl, combine flour, cornmeal and your favorite spices. Dip tomato slices into egg mixture, then coat with flour. Here's the trick for making them really good--double-dip them! Back into the egg/milk, then back into the flour/cornmeal. Then fry them in butter, it gives them extra flavor! This is the only way I'll eat fresh tomatoes!

I love to fry green beans. First you blanch them in boiling water until it sightly soft, then dry them in paper towel and dust with dry flour. Mix beer, egg white and corn starch as your batter, not too loose or too thick, it will coat the beans nicely. Then deep fry them. The beans are so fluffy and tender. You can also fry zucchini this way too, just skip the blanching.

I dip them in a milk and egg batter, then bread them in a cornmeal and flour mix. Then fry them to a golden brown.

slice your green tomatoes as you would any other tomato.

in order for them to be fried - you need to cover them in crnmeal an cook them fairly quickly..

Bacon grease is definitely what to use for frying!
