Is this right? No jail time for Rape?

You know what? Look at it this way. They may not go to jail, but they are sure being punished. They have lost their careers, they have to register as sex offenders no matter where they go, they have to stay away from schools and daycares and have no contact with anyone under 17. I am in no way taking up for these women, but speaking as a woman, with a womans point of view, the embarrassment is a big punishment in itself. Now, if they break their probation or if they do it again, then they need to go straight to jail. Some people never learn, look at Mary Latorno(sp).

Woman should not get away with things like that or should men but it dose seem like the criminal laws are easier on the females. If it would have been a 16 year old girl and a male teacher he would have been charged with rape even if the girl said it was consensual.

Unbelievable. All of those women need jail time and counseling. They are sex addicts and they need to get help. I had know idea that teacher/student sexual assault was that common until I read the link you put on here. A man would pay dearly for what these women did. Why are the women treated differently? I don't know! They shouldn't be......

No its not right that there not getting jail time. Its disgusting that they can just get away with it. I agree with NISHANT S about the nature of the crime though.

It depends on the nature of case. there should be hard punishment for such offences but the investigation should be true and fool proof.
