We are so politically correct these days. In the 80's in Britain it was okay to refer to a black person as coloured. I'm half-asian and I was referred to as a

half caste which didn't bother me then or now.

I think some of the younger asians class themselves as British Muslims or anglo-asians whereas my good pal who I've grown up with who is black (we're 40 now and were at school together from 5) has said that his son referred to himself as an anglo-african.

Soon we're going to be calling ourselves

longsite(place in manchester)-manchester-anglo asians or some other variation.

It's very intresting, because there are more people in the world today that base things on the color of one's skin and culture than there is those that do not care what color of skin someone is and what their beliefs or culture is. If everyone could learn to respect everyone, everyone would be better a person.

That's true...I've never liked the term "colored" anyways.

In reality, black is the absence of color, while white is the entire color spectrum. So, in truth, white people are the ones who should be called "colored"!

Very interesting, but unfortunately it only means something to those of us who are intelligent enough to realise the use of the word "coloured" is not appreciated. Will be lost on small minded racists, I'm afraid (yellow).
