Automatic motorcycle? Do they make such a thing?
I have diabetes and it's caused my left hand to become weak and very difficult to engage and disengage the clutch. I can hardly squeeze the clutch lever anymore. And for sure it probably isn't the safest thing for me to be riding like that. Any kind of information would be helpful. Thanks.

I believe the Ridley is an automatic 750.
Large scooters like the SilverWing and Burgman are automatic and will run with the big dogs on the highway.
good luck to you.

Honda just came out with an automatic sport tourer, but honestly, if you want an automatic bike you should not be on a sport bike. These bikes require a significant amount of skill and control afforded to a manual transmission. If you are unwilling to learn to work a clutch, you should not be on any motorcycle. Stick to large cc scooters. You will be much happier.

How about better than automatic! In the spirit of porche's tiptronic and other 'clutch-less' automatics, Yamaha has developed a push button shift on their '06 FJR1300. Unlike previous automatics, like the 'Hondamatic' of the 70's, this baby is a serious sport touring bike. Besides being bike of the year 3 years running, this new 'clutch-less' push button shifting will allow many more people enjoy the benefits of a really sweet bike. Check it out! I guess it just depends on your preference; cruiser or sport touring...

Ooh, the pushbutton shift sounds cool. I have a 78 CB400 Automatic. I don't ride it much, I have an Intruder now.
They are hard to find though. I bought mine from the original owner and it is in great shape. I paid $1200 Canadian for it. There was one for sale somewhere in the states I saw on line last year.
I think they wanted $1300 for it.
You do have options. I think there are people who customize and switch the brake and clutch sides too.
Ride safe!
