For whatever Mormonism has evolved into, I'm sure it's a great community, very peaceful. I have nothing against it, but I still view Joseph Smith as a self-righteous con. I know Mormons have not practiced polygamy for a long time now, but Smith advocated it. To me that alone proves he was no prophet. As for Satan, I think he's just a scape-goat for our lust of individualistic values. I firmly believe there is no Hell or Satan. If you look at it from a biological perspective, humans are masters of mimicry, creatures defined by culture. We only practice what we see, and we cannot help what influences us. There is no good or evil just a natural selection of ideas and beliefs. I know that sounds ridiculous, but homo sapiens are just another step in evolution...Is a jellyfish anymore saintly than a chimpanzee?
