Which is more rewarding, getting the 10points for the best answer or tons of answer to your question?

It depends how helpful the answers are. If I get an answer that actually helps it is worth the loss of five points. If I get a dozen answers, but none that actually help then it is not worth it.

Of course it is flattering to get best answer (& ten points), but if I am actually helping someone by providing the best answer I know of, then I get some satisfaction from that even if it is not chosen. Plus the two points.

The 10 points. Getting one good answer might be worth even more than the 10 points, but just a lot of answers wouldn't be so wonderful.

If my question is a really important one that I want answered badly, tons and tons of answers would be my greatest wish!

However, I do feel happy when I receive 10 points for my best answer...

10 points! You don't really have to do anything special for lots of answers for your question. But you DO have to be smart to get 10 points for a best answer!

It's nice to get 10 points but it's even nicer to get a useful answer. Points don't mean anything in real life. Getting useful information and learning something new is priceless though!

Both are great. Getting 10 points makes you feel like you've helped someone, and getting heaps of answers, as long as they are helpful, solves problems for you.

But if I have to choose, I love the 10 points.
