My ex said I am his dream girl,close to his ideal,He loves me and its so hard for him to get over me.But if what he said was true,why he made me become his backup girl?Do men are like this all the time?and why?
I ended this relationship when he proposed to me.But it was too late because I was moving out of state.Then he made a new gf right away.I wanted him back but he refused to break up with his new gf.But he made it clear that he wanted me to be around.

Did he break up with you or you break up with him? There is a reason he is your ex . If he did the breaking up and you were really his dream girl, he would have gone no where. He's trying to play the "it's not you, it's me" thing to avoid having to lay it on the line that he no longer wants to be with you. If you were the one who ended the relationship perhaps he does believe you embody most of the things he wanted in a female...everything except the ability to remain.
