i need some advice?

I have been seeing this guy as friends for a couple of months. we have had a couple of drunken snogs, but are just friends. i really like him and i know he likes me, but we never seem to get it together properly. his friend said he is wary because i recently split up with my boyfriend and he did not want to get involved for that reason. how do i convince him that i really like him(i left my boyfriend for him after all) and that if we did get together it would not be because i am on the rebound? he is a really shy guy and has little confidence. i don't know how to approach the subject properly with him.

The truth is its all about timing.  Tell him the truth about how you like him, and then go and do some nice fun things - no pressure, slowly, slowly, catchy monkey!  Just take it one step at at time, and re-assure him its not a re-bound thing.  Then, some lovin and home cooked meals will generally seal the deal.  Good Monkey hunting! Look if he really likes you the way he says he do and you do to then I think you should just say it straight up. Understanding that you don't want to mess up a friendship says that you should take it slow but not slow as to where you feel as though your still friends. But remember honesty is the best policy.

The best thing you could ever do is just tell the TRUTH, just sit him down just the two of you and tell him everything, everything you feel everthing you've done, and thats all you can do after that its up to him, after all nothing beats a failure but a try.
