If you see "carmine" listed on any label, that means there are bug parts in it. I doubt you'll see little legs and antennae in your food :) but carmine is what they use to dye some foods red. It's derived from bugs.

Hate to answer a question with a question, but did you know in an average human lifespan, you will have ingested (either inhaled nasally or eaten through the mouth) over thirty spiders while sleeping? Nasty, but true.

No ,that sounds gross!!I heard about that from my husband but then again he will say anything to upset me!!!I guess its true but it upsets me! I know about the protein thing though, my husband wanted to take me on a survival trip like that, eating bugs, learning about surviving in the woods!!Thanks to god ,we never took that trip!!!!

Yes, the FDA allows a certain percentage of insect parts in canned food, as gross as that seems!

yeah did you also know that the average american will swallow atleast one spider a night in our sleep... kind of creeps me out :)
