why is it muslims can meet and pray in a room at the capital every friday but any mention of god is forbidden?

Congressmen and Senators mention God ALL THE TIME! Just watch CSPAN. There are Christian prayers before every session of Congress. There are even sanctioned chaplins for Congress. It was in the news a lot a few years ago when the Attorney General was having departmental prayer meetings.

Get your facts straight before you sound like a bigot or conspiracy nut.

Both houses of Congress open with a morning prayer, so I fail to see how mentioning Christianity is forbidden. Also, what a group of people do as private citizens, even in a government building, is really none of our business.

the mention of god isnt forbidden in our politicial system, but basing ur political policies through religious ideaologies does not usualy recieve support from the genral public. Chrsitians and other religious ppl can go to the capital and pray, as long as they dont try to influence the political status and policies.

We are a nation that values our cultural and religious freedoms. It is our greatest strength and sometimes seems like a weakness. But we have to rise above petty bickery and let people do as they wish as long as it is peaceful.
