I've never seen her pictures, but my Mom used to tell how she had a trademark hairstyle in which one eye was covered. Supposedly she was asked to change this because so many women imitated her that the Rosie Riviters were having accidents on the job.

I know that alot of girls wanted to look like her. She was meationed in the movie "The Major and the Minor" with Ginger Rogers. There is a great actress. I loved the movie you talk about. It was really good. If I remember correctly did'nt Ms Lake go insane before she died?
