Of course. Iran's president has promised to wipe Israel off the map- even going into how a retaliatory strike by Israel would do little damage, considering the tremendous size of the muslim world. Another Iranian official said Iran would destroy Israel "in a flash", an obvious reference to a nuclear strike. I think the sooner they stop the barbaric regime in Iran the better.

That's a tough one. Ultimately, I believe that it would be justified given Ahmadinejad's threats to "wipe Israel off the map". These foolish outbursts are all too frequent and there's no reason to not take them seriously.

That said, I don't believe the USA would ever allow Israel to do this and if Israel were to go ahead despite US protest, it would quickly find itself surrounded by enemies with little political support.

Better to sit back and let the USA to the heavy lifting on this one.

Justified is in the eyes of the beholder.

I would do it for self preservation and worry about the outcry later.

However, Unless I am mistaken, Israel does not have the capability, ( fuel Range and Bunker Buster bombs ) that it would take to do the job.

So, That leaves a dilemma, will their friends help or talk.

Both Israel and Iran are wrong coz Israel already has nuclear weapons of mass destruction while Iran is in the period of maintaining such weapons! so it is better if both countries get rid of these weapons and save their effort for peace and help in making the world better place ! War brings War!

I think Israeli was 100% justified in taking out the nuclear enrichment plant 25 years ago and I think Israel would be justified in taking out the Iranian's nuke works.The Iranian nuke works, of today, will be harder to take out.I don't think it can be done with the small jets that Israel used 25yr.s ago.

As I recall, Iraq turned off their radar around the facilities, so the attack was a total surprise.

It's a tough question because it only leads to more aggression. Yet Israel has the right to protect itself.

Yes, but only if they have indisputable proof that Iran has nuclear weapons intended for the destruction on Israel.

I don't they'll have to, America has been drawn into the middle east conflict up to it's neck, if George W hasn't already got plans to destroy suspected nuclear sites, I don't think it'll be long before he does.

IF Israel were to launch pre-emptive strikes I think they have more liklihood of succeding with less loss of life, America isn't exactly noted for it's subtlty when it comes to precision strikes.
