World-Record Fish question!?

NOT INCLUDING the Great White Shark, OR the Tiger Shark; what is the largest (by weight) fish, EVER caught, on a rod-&-reel? (Please include how much it weighed, & where it was caught)

Update:

HINT: NOT a Catfish!

(well-over 1,000 lbs.)

Update 2:

VERY good guess, T.J.!

Still 2 that are heavier!

I used to have an incredible spot close to artwork and living house that i might desire to fish purely approximately on a daily basis from April to September. That spot might in some circumstances yield a 2 one million/2 to 3 pound smallie. on condition that I fished an identical flow for perhaps 500 hours each summer season that amounted to perhaps 20 total. in spite of the indisputable fact that 5 years that I lived and labored close by, I caught 2 solid 4 pounders. I additionally caught one which length for the time of a fishing holiday in Canada, at the same time as fishing for walleyes. So my best crowned 4 kilos yet in all likelihood would not have weighed better than 4 one million/2. i did no longer use a scale, yet calculated weight in step with this: Weight = length x girth^2/1100. A 20 inch bass with a 14 inch girth could weigh approximately 3 one million/2 kilos in step with that.
