Well, some websites cost money. But you could make a free one, it just won't be as good. (See sources for link.) I made one, but you can only have 7 pages if you have a free one, unless you're willing to pay the money.

Nowadays, its a fashion to use templates instead of manual designing... like "SiteBuilder" etc...
But if you have plans to build a larger portal, then it is not a bad choice to build a custom website (using designers)
You can use one Australian company called Melbourne IT services (www.melbourneit.com) but they are pretty expensive...
An alternative is HostJack ( http://www.hostjack.co.uk/ ) who are giving greater discounts rite now as a part of their promotions. They also provide a SiteBuilder (unlimited pages). To avail this discount, you have to contact them at sales@hostjack.co.uk
