lightbulb represents 'enlightenment'?

This is quite a question, quite a good one, actually.

Curious, isn't it, how we use the words, "see", "know" and "light"?

It's no accident that we do, and they do seem to be an invention of some fertile mind. I'm sorry, I don't know "tom." Is that an acronym?

Have you seen the Light?

Many talk about Light, none of whom have been able to "show" it to you, which is also curious, wouldn't you say?

There is a Light within the human being--not "light" as a metaphor and definitely not a "light bulb," rather an actual Light, so bright-- brighter than ten thousand suns--that when you "see" this Light you will Know all & everything.

The Light of Knowledge.

Not a metaphor. Not an idea.

You will have to start searching for the teacher, who can "show" you this Light. You'll know him the moment you see him. Go search. He stands somewhere waiting for you.

When a person passes it is believed that they see a bright light said to represent the light of God or Heaven.And when you enter into said light you are set free and are able to see everything with such clarity as if a bright light suddenly illuminates your past and your path. Making it obvious and clear. Sometimes people are able to find this freedom during life, and that is called enlightenment. People have always possessed these abilities from the dawn of time (they just dont know it) the light bulb is just an imagery that allows us to identify with that persons thought or action.

The lotus flower comes up out of the water and reaches for the sunlight gentle yet then retracts at night. It seeks enlightenment yet then retracts decrease back to phantasm. i think of the butterfly that flies above the lotus is a greater physically powerful image because of the fact it differences from a trojan horse and then by no ability returns decrease back to its previous state. What do you think of?
