Where are you going from in the states?

I went to Greece (Athens, Santorini, Mykonos) for 14 days 3 summers ago. I have a Greek friend whom was in Greece vising family for a month. I flew over solo to meet her. I went from Boston to London, London to Athens, Greece spent few hours in Athens, then took a tiny plane from Athens to Santorini (scenic and BEAUTIFUL). To get from Santorini to Mykonos we took a overnight "boat." Then to get back to main land (Athens) from Mykonos another small plane. Remember it's 7 hours difference and you use lose a lot of time traveling so plan accordingly. Plan at least to go for two weeks.

Flight & hotels, transfers, etc. was probably about $1200ish (that's not including eating and going out). It's not cheap. It was a blast and worth it. We booked through a travel agent. I would shop around. Check out www.kayak.com it compares tons of travel sites. But if you plan to go to several places I would suggest using a travel agent it sprobably best bet.

Both islands I went to were beautiful, however Mykonos is more a party island, and Santorini definitely has great nightlife, but more a romantic, scenic island. If I were going back, I'd go to Santorini.

Have fun Greece is an amazing place. Definitely one of those places that should be on everyone's "Do before I die" list.

Cyprus, i where Aphrodite was born!

    Crete, where Zeus was raised.

Delos, where Apollo and Artemis were born!

Thessaly and Macedonia have mount Olympus, ..

Olympia, the site of the ancient Olympics

    Delphi, the famous Oracle

Athens, the nest of Democracy, sciences, ...

    :::::::::::::::::::

All these places are not expensive, especially when you know that gods were born there! Heroes made the cities and Mother Earth has been generous in extending energy to people being there!

Boston is an essential blend of colonial history and cutting-edge innovation. From the wonderful cobblestones of Beacon Hill and revolutionary landmarks of the Freedom Trail, to the legendary reasons of Harvard University and Fenway Park, Boston is really a treasure chest of Americana and with hotelbye you may have the opportunity to know that treasure. Boston is known it whilst the "hold of liberty" and Faneuil Hall is one of many areas must-see just like the adjacent Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a spot which includes three long halls: Quincy Market, North Market, and South Market. , Faneuil Hall Marketplace is dating from the early 19th century and is currently occupied by way of a lively range of stores, restaurants, and exhibitions. In good weather, you'll find street performers and buskers wearing reveals in the square around the market.

London is a good place to spend the holyday in household, specially with kids because in London are a lot of kid-friendly areas to go to and this Hotelbye is the place to begin knowing. In London you can get in close proximity and personal with underwater creatures at SEALIFE London Aquarium or examine the Science Museum, London's involved center of research and technology and both are perfect for fun family holyday here in London. London also offers for visiting the Tate Contemporary, Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art. And, perhaps not forget the SEALIFE London Aquarium; your home of 500 species of aquatic life, from sharks and piranhas to Nemo-style clownfish. London is certainly a distinctive city.

Here are some websites that might help:

www.teletextholidays.co.uk (also look on teletext tv)

    www.superbreak.com

    www.lastminute.com

    www.expedia.com

I don't think many of the budget airlines fly to the Greek Islands so I think it would be cheaper to book a package.

    Hope this Helps!

I've never had any luck with the holiday searches either. Portland Holidays are cheap. I've travelled with them a few times and have never had any complaints.

    For how long?

Either ask a Greek friend, or, if you like organized vacation, reserve from an agency!

    Enjoy!
